Tour De France 1920's

Seeing as the Tour De France is wrapping up today I decided to post this epic image from the 1920's showing these riders enjoying a smoke after one of the legs of the race. These dudes look gully, no helmets, steel lugged frames, tire tubes over the shoulders and a grim look on their faces...they sure don't make em' like they used too.

I LATER'D MY SHIT

so I crashed pretty hard today. bombing a big hill, sharp left turn, van ahead of me stopped short. had a choice: smash into the back of the van or the parked car beside it, or go right. went right, hopped a curb, hit a rock wall, went over the bars, etc. these photos, in order, document:

1) the wall (Duncan approves of its gnarliness)

2) my fork, which is bent right the fuck back from the impact

3) my arm, which is also bent right the fuck back lol

4) my helmet, which at the very least saved me a trip to the ER, who knows maybe more

the fucked part is I only started wearing my helmet regularly for longer rides about two weeks ago. Duncan always wears his, and I feel bad vibes riding with a guy wearing a helmet when I'm not... anyway, the point is fuck yeah! live to ride again! GOC 4 LYFE
